Sunday morning we went to a church service at House of Praise in Chiang Mai. It was a fitting sermon on digging wells and creating a legacy.
After service we headed out to have lunch and a team debriefing. We ate pizza and shared the ups and downs of our trip. It was a moment for each team member to be heard.
We headed back to the hotel for a bit of rest before we got ready for our last dinner as a team.
Dinner was held at The Dukes of Chiang Mai. The Dukes is more of an American style restauraunt in Thailand. It was a nice change from all the street vendors and Thai food.
That evening after dinner the team split up to hit the night markets and get massages one last time.
This morning a few of us are going to a Thai farm cooking school, while others are taking on ziplining at the Flight of the Gibbon.
Later on today we will pack our bags one last time. We head to the airport to catch the first leg of our many flights. The next couple of days we will spend traveling and reflecting.
It is with a humble and weary heart that we leave Thailand. It is with mixed emotions that we head home. Thailand is a beautiful country with the friendliest of people who will be dearly missed.
Mission trips are meant to be an opportunity to serve others. This mission, like others I have been on, I feel like I am the one who has been served.
Spending time with people who have a true servant heart can be life changing. I know I will be forever changed by those I have met in Thailand, and cannot wait to return.
