We are under the firm belief that when we are obedient in service we, in turn, broaden God’s kingdom.
I am a firm believer that it was not by chance that we decided to attend a conference in Nashville, Tennessee in 2015 that was sponsored by Hope Bridges. It was at that conference that I got to know the heart of Hope Bridges founder, Mike Lane.
A little over a year passed and Mike and I stayed in touch online through a couple of Facebook groups, and again our paths crossed in real life at an intensive in Colorado. This time not only did we continue our friendship, but we both began to realize how like-minded and mission-minded we both were.
Shortly after that trip to Colorado, I began my web design company, HeartWired Technical Solutions. It was soon after my company’s inception that Mike approached me about him becoming one of my clients. Over the next few months, we worked together closely as we revitalized the Hope Bridges website as well as migrated it over to the WordPress platform.
Amidst all the talk of Hope Bridges and the wonderful work that Mike and his nonprofit were doing in Thailand, he mentioned in passing that he would love for us to go with him the next time he went. As in many moments in my life, I laughed it off and did not give it much thought. However, God apparently had different plans for us.
A few weeks went by and the invite came around again, this time it was more like a bullhorn blaring in my ear, “get up and go!”
Long story short, we will be traveling to Thailand this summer and invite you to join us on the journey. While we are en route to Thailand via Tokyo and Beijing we will be blogging as well as sharing pictures and the story of our trip as we go. We would love it if you would follow us on our travels, as we share what it is like to answer God’s call on a life of mission.
Be sure to sign up to get notified as we post new blogs, pictures and more. If you would like to donate to the trip that would be incredibly generous as well!
